Bomb Attack Ruins Bhutto Homecoming: Today's Cartoon

Despite the concerns of authorities and knowing herself that she was a target of terrorists, former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto decided to go ahead with her slow moving procession through the crowded streets of Karachi; and thus set the stage for the worst bomb attack in Pakistan's history.

Upon her return from exile, Bhutto expressed confidence in her belief that she would not be harmed, because attacks against women were forbidden by Islam. Unfortunately that "guaranteed" security did not extend to the crowds of supporters outside of the armored bus she was riding in.

Now obviously those who carried out this heinous attack are the ones directly responsible taking the lives of over 125 people; but by shrugging off security concerns leading up to the bombing, Benazir Bhutto certainly did her part to ensure the high body count... which leads me to wonder which is her bigger concern, the votes or the voters?

hehe...That was very witty n sadly, true. In fact, she had told Musharraf about the perpetrators beforehand and could have avoided risking her life. But I guess, bomb blast would have given her a lot of international media coverage and political mileage too.
