Today's Cartoon: Enron's Jeffrey Skilling Sentenced to 24 Years in Prison

Now, I'm not saying that former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling should fake his own demise in order to avoid going to prison; but if you consider that his colleague and co-conspirator Kennth Lay just had his convictions quashed after his (supposed) passing, then chances are the thought has already crossed his mind.

While the court has ordered Mr. Skilling to remain at his home and wear an electronic monitoring device around his ankle until he finally goes to prison, you'd think that the judge would consider him to be more of a flight risk, especially considering the suspicious circumstances surrounding Ken Lay's untimely "departure" and subsequent "acquittal".

To be honest, I'd be more surprised Jeffrey Skilling actually goes to prison then I would be if some time between now and then, he were attacked by a stingray or trampled by a herd of angry unicorns. I mean, if all that is keeping him from staying out of prison and having his convictions overturned is the "belief" that he is alive, then what does he have to lose by trying to convince the world otherwise?... Especially if you consider everything that he stands to gain (or at least keep) by doing so.
