Today's Cartoon: Stephen Colbert Roasts President Bush At Correspondents Dinner

I like Stephen Colbert. I admire his courage and willingness to stand up and tell it as it is; no matter "where" he is or "who" he's with. He's not afraid to throw down the "truth", like a pair of hockey gloves on the ice rink of some "hippie-homo-commie" nation ;)

He's the kind of "straight shooter" that I'm sure Dick Cheney would LOVE to go quail hunting with :)

As one of his many anointed "heroes", I (like you) "get it". We understand that there are those out there who wish to control our lives and make us think in accordance to their sinister agendas; and it is up to Stephen Colbert to tell us EXACTLY who they are and how much we're supposed to hate them.

His distrust of "facts", his contempt of "books" and his uncanny ability to simplify even the most complex issues into bite size morsels of "Liberal lashing" outrage have already earned him the title of being America's favourite "Truth Monger"; but, after his speech at this year's White House Correspondents Dinner, you can now add the rest of the world to that growing list of admirers.

Fans of Colbert have long since known that when the man "loves", he loves hard (heterosexually speaking); and in his speech, he showed a lot of love for George W. Bush. He also showed a lot of courage by delivering that speech in front of the who's who of the Mainstream "Liberal" Media Establishment, as they sneered and chuckled away at him.

And when it was all said and done, there was absolutely no mention of Colbert or his "love letter" to the administration in the American media, because to do so would be admitting that despite the poor approval rating there are still "patriots" out there that will stick by this administration, no matter what. Patriots that they do not want you to know about.

Of course, liberal media outlets (such as CNN and FOX news) were all too willing to show the President of United States make a fool of himself by delivering a speech while standing next to what appeared to be a Mexican immigrant, surgically altered to look like him. But that's okay, because despite their efforts, the "heroes" still "get it".

So, in keeping in the tradition of another great victory... "Mission Accomplished", Mr. Colbert ;)

(BTW, you can watch the video of his speech here, here and here)

He's a 12th level Paladin wielding a +5 sword of truthiness.

Following along with that...

Seeing how uncomfortable the majority of the US media was with Colbert's roast -- can you imagine how they'd react to Marg, Warrior Princess?

They need to stop reveering the President as some sort of pharoah, and recognize all politicians need to be kept on a short leash, and a bright light shone on any misdeeds they cause.

The real target wasn't George W -- it was the media. That's who Colbert was schooling, and that's who is too sore about it to run the story.
